The "Afterdark" series of works were created between 2018 and 2019. The solo exhibition was presented at Open Studio Contemporary Printmaking Centre in Toronto in February 2020 as my Nick Novak Fellowship's culminating point. The series included three lightboxes encapsulated in sculptures reminiscent of old cameras. The lightboxes contained digital images printed on a translucent film and were backlit by three separately programmed LED bulbs, slowly changing colours. The interactive aspect of each of these pieces included submerging one's head under the fabric to view the images in nearly complete darkness and privacy. Large-scale linocuts with digital layers were exhibited alongside the lightboxes.
